Teaching experiences

After completing her studies from Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics program in an Ivy League, Columbia University, Adibah pursues her passion to help students reach their utmost potential by studying English. With more than ten (10) years of teaching experience, she has taught a wide range of courses and subjects, including: IELTS and TOEFL ITP preparation, General English, Conversation, and Business English in K12 settings, private institutions, universities, and corporate. Besides English, she also has some experience in teaching Indonesian as a Foreign Language (IFL) at Language Resource Center, Columbia University, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in New York in 2017-2018. During her graduate studies, she was funded by the Fulbright program and Teachers College, Columbia University. She also received numerous awards in teaching and learning: the Fanselow Award and BVM.H Martindale Scholarship Award. In Spring 2021, as a part of Practicum I course, she had an opportunity to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) Integrated Skills at Upper Intermediate Level 1 at the Community Language Program (CLP) in this institution. I used the Communicate Language Teaching (CLT) approach to design lesson plans and develop interactive activities.
